JOB DESCRIPTION

You must be at least 16 years old to fulfill this position according to Nebraska DHHS guidelines. Please do not apply if you are not at least 16-years-old.

St. Mark Lutheran Preschool and Childcare Center is looking for a childcare assistant teacher and support staff to accommodate our rapidly growing enrollments.

Qualification Requirements:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• If over 18 years old must have a high school diploma or GED
• Have some experience with preschool age children

Foundational Job Responsibilities:

• Assist one or more Early Childhood teachers in a classroom
• Work with children individually or in a small group under teachers’ direction
• Assist children is specific arts and crafts activities
• Be assigned to miscellaneous duties in the classroom, i.e preparing materials, putting away items, preparing snacks, coping material, ect
• Help supervise children during gross motor play in the gym or on the playground
• Help maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Compensation and Benefits

Part-time (15-40 hours per week)

• Minimum hourly rate: $15.00 per hour
• Maximum hourly rate: determined by experience and credentials.
